Supply Chain Planning

Supply Chain Integration. We work with you to assess your entire supply chain operation against customer demand, growth plans and business constraints, to identify and quantify opportunities to improve.  We help you create the organization, roles and responsibilities, workflow, communications and measurements across all supply chain functions, including external business partners, to create an environment that is cohesively focused on customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.

Network Optimization.  We help you examine possibilities to achieve savings in your supply chain by pursuing optimal network design strategies in consideration of the total cost of servicing your customer. Similarly, we create scenarios to reflect logistics requirements associated with a potential expansion, penetration of new markets, a merger, and acquisition or a divestiture.  We model the implications that a shift in the network has on your total supply chain to determine the best network design to meet customer requirements at the least landed cost.

Site Selection.  We work with you to determine the exact facility location, considering customer requirements, competition, transportation opportunities, labor, taxes and incentives, environment, community and other factors.

Warehouse Development.  We help you design the operational and physical strategy for the facility with an inside-our approach: allowing the order fulfillment inventory profile and material handling requirements drive the physical design and layout.

Warehouse Operating Plan.  We work with you to develop the business processed, resource requirements and performance metrics to operationalize the facility, and evaluate and select the most appropriate WMS and other IT solutions.

Service Provider Selection and Integration.   We help you determine the appropriateness of outsourcing any of your logistics functions to a 3PL, and the potential ROI. We define the requirements, evaluate potential candidates, select the best business partner, design performance metrics, plan for integration and monitor results over time.

Sourcing

Procurement Improvements.  We work with you to assess the existing procurement processes and expenditures for direct and indirect materials and supplies. We then design and implement sustainable improvements that reduce costs and improve supplier relationships through leveraged spend opportunities; improved supplier selection, supplier management and performance metrics; more favorable contract terms; better utilization of technology; more efficient contract administrations; elimination of non-value-add activities.

Strategic Sourcing. We implement our proven strategic sourcing methodology against opportunities identified during our spend analysis, to evaluate and secure a supply base, with performance metrics, that provides you the lowest total cost of ownership. We deliver action-based training in our practices of supplier research, supplier selection, negotiations and alliance management to provide your team with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain and measure the strategic sourcing program long-term.

Inbound Transportation Management.  We help you define your inbound transportation activities and determine the savings opportunities associated with taking control of freight where control historically lays with your suppliers. We develop and implement an improved routing guide, along with compliance standards that allows you to leverage other transportation activities, private assets, and carrier relationships across your enterprise to maximize savings. We design and implement a collaborative inbound process that joins purchasing with transportation so that every buy decision considers the transportation impact.

Delivery & Reverse Logistics

Order Management and Inventory Management.  We help you improve your customer support and aftermarket services, streamline distribution practices, maximize warehouse space utilization and develop key informational flow to meet your customer commitments while minimizing operational costs and inventory levels. We target effective use of working capital and operating expenses for your inventory requirements by improving days-on-hand, reducing aged and obsolete, developing rolling forecasting, and reducing all associated inventory handling and storage cost.

Outbound Transportation Management.  We work with you to asses the effectiveness and efficiency of your current transportation processes, activities and expenditures. We develop and implement improvements that leverage your carrier base and private assets. We create more efficient routing strategies mutually beneficial contracts, and improved operating practices that lead to the lowest total cost of serving your customer. We help you develop and implement an effective reverse logistics plan for the handling and disposition of returned goods, to better control inventory, reduce total distribution costs, boost profitability and add to customer retention.
